Warcraft 2 death knight
Heavily laden with base substances, these clouds descend and quickly diffuse, leaving only suffering in their wake." Doesn't need to be perfect, but that's the general flavor. The vapor created by Decay can consume anything - flesh, bone, wood or even the strongest metal. "The aphotic, swirling clouds conjured by the Death Knights can cause anything within their path to rot and decompose. Lastly, does anyone know of a spell that replicates the Death and Decay spell from Warcraft? I like desecrate for the flavor, but DaD is described as doing damage to structures as well as the general environment- something that desecrate does not do. Like I said, I'm not running any third party content but I'd be willing to give it a shot if people have any thoughts on that particular template- it does everything I need, but goes a lot further with the stat bonuses and seems to be more suited to the melee attacker role- basically the same reason why I don't want to go with an undead anti-paladin. The only other thing I've seen is 3PP, the death knight template.

I'm not too good at building enemies without following the PC gen rules, unfortunately, so this is the best I can do unless anyone else has other suggestions. That pretty much gets everything I need (except for the mount which isn't extremely important), but I would like to know if anyone has any other ideas or ways to accomplish this concept and if anyone thinks that the undead template on a cleric breaks with the themes or ideas of E6.
I have been looking through the SRD and come up with only one idea so far- an Undead Lord cleric that I slap the Undead template on. With the exception of any extremely powerful creatures, I'd like even the strongest of the mortal heroes in the lore (Doomhammer, Turalyon, etc) to abide by the rules of E6. It is an E6 game- it is my first time running it, and because of that I'm not running any third party content because I'd like to get a feel for how the game plays by itself. They wear the armor and ride the mounts that their bodies did in life, but they are spellcasters first and foremost. They're not melee powerhouses- they were orcish necromancers/warlocks whose souls were imbued into the bodies of fallen human knights. If you're familiar with WoW, these are not the same death knights that have been in the game since Warcraft 3. I wanted to ask for some advice on creating a specific foe from that game- the death knight. Their class hall is Acherus: The Ebon Hold, which has moved from the Eastern Plaguelands to the Broken Isles.I'm running a PF1E game set in the Warcraft universe during the time of the Second War. The class order for the death knight is the Knights of the Ebon Blade, which the death knight has been declared the Deathlord of. The death knights then return to Acherus to kill the Scourge forces there, and establish the flying necropolis as the base of the Knights of the Ebon Blade. The death knights are freed from the Lich King's grasp, and Tirion announces the creation of the Argent Crusade. They almost succeed, but fail when Highlord Tirion Fordring enters the battle. After successfully oblitering the two towns and exterminating the population, Highlord Darion Mograine leads the Scourge's forces to attack the Argent Dawn at Light's Hope Chapel. They start at level 55 in a phased sub-zone of the Eastern Plaguelands called Plaguelands: The Scarlet Enclave, working as an agent of the Scourge to exterminate the members of the Scarlet Crusade in Havenshire and New Avalon. A group called the Knights of the Ebon Blade, led by Highlord Darion Mograine, is also created.ĭeath knights have a unique starting experience.
They later rejoin their former factions to fight against the Scourge, and later the looming enemies that threaten Azeroth. After serving the Lich King for a while, most Death Knights were freed from Arthas's grasp thanks to Highlord Tirion Fordring. One by one, they trickled into the land of the living in search of a new purpose.ĭeath knights are people who were once warriors or paladins, then were killed by the Scourge and raised to serve Arthas, the Lich King. After their venegance was won, the death knights found themselves without a cause, and without a home. When the Lich King's control of his death knights were broken, his former champions sought revenge for the horrors commited under his command.
